struck at the San Francisco Mint.

Early Releases
Due to increased demand for Silver Eagles, a small portion of the mintage is being done at the San Francisco Mint. This is a very rare occassion. But there's no mint mark, so the only way you can tell your Silver Eagle was struck at the San Francisco Mint is to own these Silver Eagles that have been verified by NGC.
To qualify for Early Releases designation all coins must be received by NGC within 30 days of their first release by the US Mint, or documented as being received by an NGC approved depository within this same 30-day period.
(mint mark is on the holder, not on the coin.)
Grade 70 out of a possible 70 awarded by NGC.
NGC is Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
