FIRST DAY ISSUE--- SUPPLY IS VERY LIMITED
Coins were obtained at the release ceremony in Indiana.
- Each coin graded Mint State 65 out if a possible 70.
- These coins are designated "Early Releases" by NGC on the label.
- The second design issued for 2009 Lincoln Pennies depicts a young Lincoln
sitting on a log with a book in hand while working as a rail splitter in Indiana.
It was designed and sculpted by Charles Vickers, a US Mint sculptor and engraver.
